The Battle of the Bands Competition will be taking place this August 15, and we are inviting you to be a part of all of the fun! The six finalists chosen to compete will preform at the Roosevelt Road Business Association's Roosevelt Road Summer Spectacular Street Fair.

The winner of the Battle of the Bands will receive 20 free hours of recording studio time including engineer, courtesy of Horse-Drawn Productions.

This competition is open bands and music acts of Berwyn, Cicero and Oak Park Riverside and the surrounding areas.

To enter the Battle of the Bands competition, all bands or music groups must submit a demo recording (CD, mp3, wav, aiff files), group bio, contact information (email and phone number) to:

All entries must be postmarked by July 31st 2009.

All entries will be responded to by email by August 2nd, 2009.

The Battle of the Bands will be judged in combination by both crowd participation, and by panel judges. Winner of the Battle of the Bands will be announced on August 13, 2009, after the performances.

Winner of the Battle of the Bands will receive 20 free hours in Horse-Drawn Productions new recording studio in Berwyn, including session engineer.

Battle of the Bands Rules & Regulations

-All participants must submit an entry including all required materials by the appointed deadline.

-As the Roosevelt Road Summer Spectacular Street Fair is a family event we are dedicated to keeping the
program appropriate, inappropriate, or lewd behavior and/or profanity may result in immediate disqualification.

-Participants must be able to preform on Aug. 15, 2009 to be eligible in the battle of the bands.
